Have questions...Need advise
Hello all,
I need advise. I am looking to go active duty and have submitted my request for release. However, it seems to be taking forever. I put it in in Jan. and it just seems like people are dragging thier feet to get this done. I'm not the only one who sees this. I can understnd the state wants to get it's investment back for all of the training and uniforms/equipment, but I am prior service and the guard did not pay for my training and my unit has not provided me any uniforms. So there really isn't any investment in me. I like the Guard, but I see that active duty is a better fit for me right now. As I said I am prior service so I know there are ways to get this through a little quicker, it's the military way...LOL I have pretty much resigned myself that this will take forever, but if anyone knows of any way to push this through. Time is of the essence. My wife is active duty at Ft. Drum and is set to deploy in Sept. I need to be reclassed so obviously, I'd like to be to and from training before she leaves. We have 2 teenagers and I'd like to be back for them and for her. Any advise will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you. Like I said I'm resigned to it taking forever, but if there is a way I'll try it. Heck I'd even Hand carry the packet to the people who need to sign it. Thanks, I look forward to any answers you may get.
